I was working on the tpl of the upcoming clan module of lukogh, when I wondered.

Could it be possible to add an extra feature to cotonti, which enables putting folders of modules in the themes folder? the clan module got 23 tpls. when you look at the page module, it got 4 tpls by default, but when creating a site you'll very fast get a shitload of those tpls too. Now my suggestion is to be able to create a folder <module name> in your themes map, which keeps it a bit more clean. or just a folder where module tpls can be stored (just like creating a plugins folder), with subsequently underlying module folders..

Just to keep your themes folder clean, or more clear.

thx!

Oh, yeah, I know what you mean. I want it myself! Added ticket #953.

May the Source be with you!

That's how it used to work when modules were still located in the system folder.

Just today I rewrote cot_tplfile, but unfortunately I hadn't noticed this topic so I didn't include it in the rewrite. I agree with macik (in the ticket comments) that if we add this, module folders should go inside the 'modules' folder, rather than in the root of the theme folder. E.g. themes/mytheme/modules/page/page.edit.tpl instead of themes/mytheme/page/page.edit.tpl.

PS. By 'map' you mean 'folder'. Dutch can be confusing sometimes.

with this:

or just a folder where module tpls can be stored (just like creating a plugins folder), with subsequently underlying module folders..

I meant:

E.g. themes/mytheme/modules/page/page.edit.tpl

:D

and indeed, I meant to say folder; corrected it..
