Just today I rewrote cot_tplfile, but unfortunately I hadn't noticed this topic so I didn't include it in the rewrite. I agree with macik (in the ticket comments) that if we add this, module folders should go inside the 'modules' folder, rather than in the root of the theme folder. E.g. themes/mytheme/modules/page/page.edit.tpl instead of themes/mytheme/page/page.edit.tpl. PS. By 'map' you mean 'folder'. Dutch can be confusing sometimes.
