Just incase anyone was interested in the reward system, I am currently working these custom variables into it:

(not in any specific order)

  • Minimum rank level required
  • Kills required
  • Minimum amount of matches played
  • How many times you have collected another trophy
  • Wins required
  • Hours played
  • Days played
  • Weeks played
  • Months played
  • Years played

The system also includes a count of how many times the player has been awarded a specific trophy, allowing you to set up trophies for collecting X amount of another trophy (like the ribbon system on Battle Field 3).

The last five probably wont be used very often but it would allow the admin to setup a trophy for amount of time the user has played with the clan, for example short, medium and long service medals. By having the ability to set all these requirements for each trophy it gives you more freedom to customise them and come up with your own custom reward system.

Like the ranks, the module will come with some rewards pre-installed so it can be used straight out of the box but you can edit or delete them depending on your requirements...

If you feel that I have missed something please let me know!

he Luke

Will it be possible to manually assign trophies to users? for exemplary tasks, for instance?

Yeah no problem.

Added 1 day later:

Also, would you guys prefer a notification system or just to use the PM system for letting players know they received an award,  ranked up or an upcoming match, etc.

Added 7 minutes later:

I could write a small plugin that will add any new PMs to the notification system as well as other things...

^^ depends on what is the simpler solution for you.. but I think using the already exsisting PM system is the way to go..

I'll see what I can come up with, if its not as good as the PM system then I will just use that...

Dyllon uses PM in his social plugin for friend requests, maybe you can take a peek there on how he did it?

Yeah I have already done something similiar in another module I am working on, its not complicated at all, its only inserting data into the database at the end of the day.

Yeah thank you Kingsley, I am looking forward to releasing it. I am really enjoying working on it as well, which is a bonus.

Update: When adding a match you now have a choice to either select a team to compete (importing the teams player details to the match details) or you can select "open match" which allows clan members to sign up for the match, giving you more freedom, depending how your clan plays...

Good, thank you Twiebie. Hit a few road blocks that have slowed me down but I am still making good progress. Shouldn't be much longer until I have a working module for you to test.
