I am obsessed to make subforums best I can, so I ask, would it be good if we add new column to forum sections table like "fs_subforums" like "1,6,8" (numbers are id's)
I tried do some stuff but It only made it slower, we don't have so much problems about forums posts/edit/new topic parts, we are having problems with main forums section. |

Frankly, I dont think its flexible enough. why not use two (INT) columns to store section dependencies, eg: parent, child - as described in one of my previous post...
Can you commit your subforums into branches? maybe I could look at it then. Perl - the only language that looks the same before and after RSA encryption.

No, it's no good.
I got what you say, you mean like users/groups interaction. Ok, i'll try. (ASAP) |

And, I ask, since we inform users by adding a little "plus" before forum name, should main forum section show the latest posts in the subforums, or people should click to main section to see what's going on inside?

Hmm, I think it should display latest from subforums. At least vBulletin and IPB do so.

OK.
Even though, I have, like, 30 mins to work per day about it, I finished it many times. The problem is, I want to make it very clean and customizable, improvable. |
