We don't need mootols, we have JQuery.

I am planning to do something about Cotonti, e.g. ajax forum post editing in the short-term. There are some similar plugins, but this is not urgent.

I'm guessing thats something that can be done as a plugin anyways. There shouldn't be any need to add it to the core.

as far as I remember there is an jQuery Validate plugin already...

I think what would probably be best, is to Have a Javascript enhancement plugin as a defualt core plugin, that way you can do all those things yet they can be optional.

That could contain all sorts of things like that. Because I still believe everything should be fully functional without JS.

It is!

We do everything without JS first.

But a very wide JS plugin, takes time to build.

For one on my next projects I need a CMS which is capable to act both in normal and complete AJAX mode. So I'm thinking of implanting this duality feature in Seditio-N...

This is indeed a need Seditio-N ...
Previously, AJAX was used in small individual Plugins (Polls,Calendar and other) and this not good

Well maybe a AJAX Module then. It would still put it in the core but leave it optional. I can't deny I like AJAX but when i'm new to a Site I don't like being forced to use javascript. Of course thats my personal opinion.

Here is a question for all: What do we mean by AJAX here? We can easily do some of these by basic JAVASCRIPT like email validity.

When I say AJAX, I mean "Asynchronous Javascript And XML". Well, sometimes XHTML, not XML.

I have started a separate topic for it.
