i've tested on 10 or so cms and finally decided to use cotonti. it's has gzip, sef url and a out-of-box forum, that's what i've looking for.

thanks to the guys & gals behind cotonti, a job well done, keep it up.

ps. i might get the chinese language pack done, if i'm going to do a chinese site with cotonti in furture.

A chinese language pack would be great! Glad to hear you like Cotonti.

well, in the chinese website circle, where copyright is not enforced, speed is everything, with the same topic and exact content, your site should show all its contents before others, and cotonti has it.

it doesn't take long to come out a chinese language pack, however the supporting document is the hard part. You do need a full set of supporting document and a supporting forum in chinese, as the chinese (i'm referring mainland chinese) who know english would not go into the field of webmaster.

anyway, i will use cotonti for my next chinese site and do the translation. at least it is a start, and could target the chinese webmasters from hong kong, taiwan, malaysia, singapore, etc.

Added 6 minutes later:

the site that i'm working on is in english, my blog has glown to the level that users are demanding a forum for question and answer. my site wouldn't be opened for another month or so, i'm currently editing, composing, rewriting my blog posts into articles, until than i can't commit and contribute to the chinese translation project.

Thank you for information, it is important to know requirements of probably largest growing part of the Internet. We could add a Chinese forum and a Chinese section in Documentation, but before that we need at least a few both Chinese and English speaking members in the community.
May the Source be with you!
