I think than half of standard plugins are not use on most of sites. I think we need remove them from box and place in downloads section.
Which plugins I think should be deleted from core: 1. Chili Highlighter – this plugin is necessary only on programmer’s blogs and forums 2. Forumstats – I think that it is not stat for big forum. It s little information about count of topics and most popular topic 3. Mass-move topics in forums – I think it is not global tool for administration of the forum. Its little part of it. 4. Recent items – 50% of functionality of this plugin we can realize by news plugin. And we need only recent forums. But I think to do by myself big plugin for “recent items and new from my last visit” Where will be all information about new pages, new topics, new comments, new polls, new users. 5. Seditio Compatibility – this plugin was actually when our system was opened. When people make first steps from seditio to cotonti world. Now more and more people – or update old versions of cotonti or install new copy of it. More actual core plugins: 1. Captcha – but we have versions for everyone  2. Blogs A lot of “core” plugins only helps those who entered for himself the world of COTONTI, but these people like to install more than 40 plugins at once. littledev.ru - мой маленький зарождающийся блог о котонти.

I dont advice - totally delete this plugs. I just advice to replaсe it from core to dowload section

Chili and forumstats can go imo.
Recentitems needs to stay but also really needs an update/upgrade so it supports more info, can do rss and available on more hooks (forum, pages etc). Seditio compatibility should be removed in Renaissance, not in 0.7.0. |
