I myself an usually interested in making plugins for the CMS, however i dont know what is on demand, or what to make. I figured i would make this topic to see what the community is interested in, and please when requesting make sure its something that could benefit a whole bunch of people and not just you personally. ill list what im currently working on.
Updating my shop plugin - making it cotonti compatable, as it stands the core hacks required needed to be changed a little. - adding a new item, bank heist.  more to come soon.CSS profiles i made this a plugin for seditio back in the day, but never released it to the community. i plan to update it a little bit more and will release it later in the future because as it stand i dont believe the cotonti team likes the profiles. (i remember reading a topic from lombi where he wanted myspace like friends list, and more so im waiting on this release) but believe me its an amazing plugin Download Tracker this one was requested by Brock here, which he wanted for our site, http://wddb.com. its main functionality is to track which files are being downloaded, how many times, broken down monthly, weekly, and daily. its a simple way to collect feedback on whats popular on your site. and now, its your turn. what would you like to see as a plugin for cotonti. im always willing to take on some, as im sure other coders would love this topic for ideas as well. this is not a 100% guarantee that they will be done, its just to get ideas out there. also remember, when you give an idea please make it as detailed as possible, and im sure coders will improvise off your base. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

the download tracker will be finished either late tonight or tomorrow when i get off work. if there is anything you would like to see in it, please request it now. as of right now this is the only ideas that i have for it.
the main portion of this plugin is in the admin-tools section. where it shows the top downloads broken down into months, weeks, and days. theres also an option to purge the statistics, and thats pretty much as far as it goes. suggestions are much needed! and lombi, i did take a look at your list in your signature, but a lot of them seem like they should be added as core features to the cms. and as i am not on the team i dont want to mess around with stuff that i dont know if it will even be added. the only thing on your list that shouldnt be in the core is the user panel plugin which i believe khoradill said he is working on one. I think it should function like the one I made on FFXIMC, along time ago.
There should be a tag to show day/weekly/monthly downloads in pages. There also should be a feature to Display the top downloads from the plugin itself, not just to admin. |

ok so how about a an admin section so they can have the option to purge, a global hook so you can add it anywhere, and a hook in pages to show stats for just that page?

File repository- Files can be uploaded or downloaded by site visitors, it can organize files into folders (described in the system using the generic word "containers") that can be nested to an arbitrary depth.

# Lombi : We are on that too :) What part are you on specifically? I planned on starting the friends plugin today, but if you're doing that, then there's no point of me doing it. If you're doing that, are you doing the Groups plugin with a wall? If you are, I have another idea I can get started on that hopefully you guys aren't doing.
