MySQL 5 is so common nowadays that it's not a problem to set it as a requirement.
There's a chance your host has both versions running, but your account is currently still linked to version 4. Some hosts do this so they don't break clients websites when upgrading. Otherwise I would seriously consider switching webhost, because a good one keeps its software up to date. |
