Hi all,

Just to inform, I am working on a 0.6.2.5 simply because I like the simplicity of this system (and my lazyness to learn yet another thing like Siena).

What I am doing:
1) integrate a new html editor : Redactor from http://imperavi.com/
2) introduce a new pfs (called myfiles)
3) And most important HTML 5  (fully: Bootstrap responsive)

The last point gives my headaces because, OH MY GOD, why is there so much HTML in the php files, what should be in the TPL.
So I am moving all html stuff into the tpl, so i can really make the skin independant from the code.

I still find the Genoa kick ass, and i have made it 'my' system now, because it is discontinued (which was understandable, but a mistake in my eyes)

greetings,

ez

Hey ez!

That's actually one of the major tasks we did when making Siena: moved all the HTML from PHP to TPL and Resource Strings.

I wouldn't mind if you continued working on Genoa and became its official maintainer. But that would require keeping it backwards-compatible. Other Genoa fans wouldn't be happy if they had to do as much work to update their Genoa sites as it would take to upgrade it to Siena. What do you think?

May the Source be with you!

That Redactor editor looks really nice, shame a license to include it in open source software is $399,-

I will not make it 100% compatible, because some stuff in there I really dont need, or is too bloated.
But it will be nice :), and most off the old stuff will still work...

When finished, i will post a link

Personally we ran genoa for a long time, great system. but ours got a little buggy, maybe our team messing with stuff they didn't understand. but if you modify genoa to make it better, i think that's great but useless if its just as big of a process as it would be to get to siena.

either way good luck, make more use of social network intergration.
