User Group change

Is there a plugin or shortcut that allows a member to request a group change? I have created an extra user feild that asked user what group they would like to be in. How can I use that feild to dictate group?

As far as I know there isn't such a plugin. Maybe it could be a new feature in the next version of user manager.
