I have just one question: are the conditional tags allowed in the skin?

I guess it is.

It is part of the current cotonti release.

Just a quick question can someone upload the Cotonti logo so we can use it in the designs?
(A little larger file size and transparent BG would be nice) :-)

Thanks :-)

[EDIT] Do you have it in just a little bigger size?

Hi all... as I am (to say the least) very short on time right now because of work I would like some fast criticism on my PSD I did for the contest. Don’t get me wrong but kind of need to know if it’s worth the extra time spent coding it, would really love to take part in the competition both for the fun and to support Cotonti. Well enough said about that just give me an honest opinion :-)

I like it. And if it is not for the competition, you can release it anyway.
A lot of users will download it.

Unfortunately that is the only PSD of the logo that Stam has provided us.

Wow, I like the skin. It's pretty cool colors and concept. Here are things that need work:
  1. The header doesn't look like header, it's something big black floating. Need something more solid.
  2. The polls/ticket at the very bottom. How many ages will take users to get there? :-)

BTW, I decided to port my old "aqweesh" skin to Cotonti to heat up this compo:

@Pieter,
Ty glad you like it, will do my best to make some time finishing it for the competition.

@Trustmaster,
1. Ah yea was trying to getting first focus on the “Welcome to Cotonti!” space that is why I kept it clean and plain like that. Have some different ideas, will see what I can do to improve it. Other than that it’s a style that I like and getting more and more into when designing.

2. Well I can agree that it is perhaps not quite the right content to the footer, but must not forget that (at least I think so when I surfed around this year) the footers on popular sites getting more content every day. And I even think that users getting more and more used to find stuff there to. If I will code it I will test to reorganize some stuff I see now may be a bit out of order.

Here are some interesting reading :-)
According to classic principles of web design, everything at the bottom of the page isn’t that important. Most users think like that. And most designers are convinced that this is true. Site elements at the bottom of the page aren’t really able to catch visitors’ attention which is why footers are often forgotten or ignored and not given the attention they deserve.

3. Nice skin you got there, will be nice to see that ported :-)

i actually really like dots skin. my only critique is the polls being at the bottom as trustmaster said.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

Just for clarification: Am I, as a team member, allowed to participate? I'm working on something but it would be a shame if it isn't allowed.
Also, am I right in thinking the winning skin will be used as default skin in the Cotonti package, but not necessarily as the skin on Cotonti.com ?

If anyone needs help coding the skin, I'm willing to discuss a cooperation. I'm not that much of a designer (always have a lack of inspiration), but my XHTML/CSS/JS/PHP skills are very good and I have quite some experience in coding templates for LDU/Seditio/Cotonti. Of course we'd share the winnings, if any.
