Does the update involve deleting anything?
And the main files would be?
Awesome!

If by deleting you mean replacing then yes.

Upload what I said and overwrite everything. AND DONT UPLOAD ANYTHING I DIDNT SAY AND DONT OVERWRITE ANY OF THAT.

Luckily we spent the last problem over the config-sample piece so yea, you might upload everything and not kill stuff. Or you might actually listen to the video tutorials and we'll see what happens.

Here, use the first seconds of this one --> http://www.cotonti.com/docs/en/upgradevideos/uploading_ftp_config_php <--, upload everything I say apart from the 'skins' directory.

We're currently making a video tutorial request plugin where you will be able to upload specific questions like this one and have them explained in detail with video.

Soon (not soon enough? PM Trustmaster ;-) )

1. I think there was a separate patch file. Upload it to site's main folder and run in the browser.
2. If not, there's a folder of sql patches - these you've got to launch in Mysql administration

if ull dl any of releases / betas there is always sql / updates folder, there are updates of database, i.e. sql_rXXX (where X is number, ull understand when ull check folder), if ull check what sql_r... number ur current cotonti have, update next ones, thats jus teory, any1 who made cotonti have to confirm it!

Added 1 minute later:

my english is weak, i hope ull understand me :s

Read carefully Updating from 0.0.5, it says:
4. Copy sql/patch-0.0.6.txt, save it in your site root as patch.php, run in web browser like http://your-domain.tld/patch.php and then remove patch.php from your site.
May the Source be with you!

So save it as a php file in the public html folder?
Awesome!

Yes. Then run it once and after it says "Conversion complete" remove the php file (for security).
May the Source be with you!
