I really need to know if it's possible to export a LDU 800 database and import it into Cotonti 0.04 ?
For what i've gathered, most fields are the same, except the order of the fields inside the database.

What fields in LDU_USERS are the most important once and which ones can i leave blank, for the easiest export/import ?

Thankful for any help that's given.

That is not an option at the moment, but i guess if i export it all and just import user_id, user_banexpire, user_name, user_password, user_country, user_regdate, user_gender, user_website, user_email and user_sid. Then i'll be pretty okay, i guess or ?

Well now i've tested it with one user and it just don't work. The user doesn't belong to any user group. So i'll guess i'll have to ask all my users to re-register..

Damn.

Ask some help from Kilandor or Trustmaster. They are the "masters" of this.

There are for users some important tables:

sed_users, but also:
- sed_groups
- sed_groups_users
- sed_auth

I'm sure there are a lot of persons that are willing to help.

Maybe you can see at neocrome how it has been done: http://www.neocrome.net/page.php?id=1993

You can use the way to migrate only the users.
... can we help you ...

look in the tegister script and see what it adds to the database apart from the user...

probably need to set a main group for the user too. Check what it adds and simulate it.

Actually we ported a number of LDU 8xx sites over to cotonti without many problems. It's really simple.

1.) First you upgrade to the latest LDU version you can get (820)
2.) Then you download the LDU2Seditio conversion script from Neocrome.net and upgrade to Seditio 100
3.) After you upgraded to seditio you upgrade to each individual milestone until you get to 120
4.) Once you are at 120 you can follow all the tutorials I published on upgrading and you should be fine.

I repeat, this has been tested.

If you want to have us run this, contact any of us (my msn is lombergar at msndotcom) and we'll discuss the rate.
