Design by dot is amazing. Design by korad is quality as well.
Good work guys!

EDIT a: As some of you might know I'm done with my army duty, and currently trying to get my life back. I have already received many work proposals, even though I didn't aim for any of them. I'll be working on third party projects until the end of this month, which is unfortunate because I'll be devoting less time on this contest. However, I wish to submit two designs... one for Cotonti website, as I believe it needs a major revamp; and one for the skin contest.

So here comes an idea for Cotonti website. Let me know what you guys think about it.

I call it "Sleek Comfort". It's sized down to 75%.
It's not the hours you put in, but what you put in the hours.

The initial idea is to be theme-enabled, so there could be alternative colors, such as red, green and orange. I want to make the layout fluid as well. However, the design is still just an image in Photoshop.

That is what people expect to see when they first enter some CMS headquarters, so it will do the job :)
May the Source be with you!

Thank you guys, I appreciate your kind words. Hoping to exceed your expectations while creating a skin out of it.
I believe I can present you with another quality piece for the skin contest by tomorrow as well. It's almost done in Photoshop, needs some final touches; I think it's slightly more eye-candy than "Sleek Comfort".
That is 2 skin projects with only 10 days left to go now... quite a challenge!

3 hours and 61 minutes later...

As promised, here is the design intended for the skin contest.
I was aiming for a layout with plenty of white space, vibrant colors and modern style.

It's not really complete, since I'm not entirely pleased with every detail on it just yet, but thought it was ready enough to submit this idea, in order to get some input from you. Having that said, critiques are welcome.

I call it "Vibrant Light". It's sized down to 75%.

moments later...

To summarize, I have posted 2 designs so far.
I wish to clarify once again that "Sleek Comfort" is a proposal to become the new official cotonti.com design, and will be produced as a unique skin for this particular purpose only if Cotonti team agrees on that. This means there's an extended deadline for it, if I'm not mistaken.
"Vibrant Light" is my submission to the current skin contest and will be (eventually) produced as a public skin anyway. Probably available as a free CSS template as well, at a later time of course.
It's not the hours you put in, but what you put in the hours.

That looks great too! I love the white design thing under the navigation bar. Is that a brush?

It's a series of different brushes and some dodging / burning, with luminosity blend mode on.

I like the second one too, though it's lacking some solidity IMO.

I agree, and I'm also considering to change the part between the menu bar and the content's white box. Add something more solid and distinct there. Any suggestions?
