When someone logs in and sees there is a new topic or post, and if they do not want to reply to it and log off after their 1800 secs of idle is gone, the topic should say there is no more new posts in that forum because his idle has ran out.
For some reason its not doing that on my website, topics stay "NEW" until the user replies to it and its not suppose to do that...any ideas on what i can do to fix this? |

Does your session expire if you log in without "remember me" and idle for 30 minutes?

# DeadX06 : For some reason its not doing that on my website, topics stay "NEW" until the user replies to it and its not suppose to do that...any ideas on what i can do to fix this? Although this is something I can live with.. some of my users complained about this to. No matter if session goes idle. If you log out, and log in a couple of hours later, the posts are still marked as new.. Been this way since I switched to cotonti. |

If i login and stay logged in and let my session end in 30 mins, THEN the new posts indication goes away, but if i just logout and login after 30 mins they stay new.
Ill try this fix and see if that works Thanks. Added 16 minutes later: OK, i just logged out to see if it would fix the problem after my 30 mins are up, and when i did this i got this error Fatal error: Call to undefined function sed_uriredir_redirect() in /*/xtremesr/system/core/users/users.logout.inc.php on line 51 |

This new beta release did not fix the problem. Topics that users do not reply to still stay new even when their 1800 sec session is up.
They go away if i stay logged in after 1800 secs, but if i close out of firefox, or if i logout and then come back or log back in, they still say new. |

They should be marked as read if you log out and log in again, but as for closing FireFox, it just has no idea that you did it

OK, to make it clear: have you updated to 0.6.2? Then, you are logged in and see new posts in forums. You hit "logout", then login again and see them all still marked as new. Is it correct?

Yes, I wait to login AFTER my 1800 secs are up after logging out and yes they still say un-read, even though i read them i just never replied to the last post reply.
I have 0.6.2 yes, i followed every direction of the files to replace. You are welcome to use a test user i have on my website as verification that topics that you read but do not reply to stay un-read until you reply to them no matter what you do. |
