1. Make a backup of files and database (!)
2. Remove old files, except datas, skins and plugins
3. Upload new files, don't forget to set permissions and empty the datas/cache/templates dir
4. Run all the SQL update scripts, beginning with 0.0.5 -> 0.0.6, then 0.0.6 -> 0.6.1 etc.

You may have to modify your skin. If you use the default (sed-light) just remove the old files and replace them with the new ones as well. Same goes for plugins.
