working on a web site and the old cms is joomla. They told me they need the old articles and all download stuff. Im toooo lazy to migrate all those things on my own and i believe i saw an importer thingy for other cms which i cant find anymore.

export as csv and do a plugin that can import that stuff.. then release it for free :P

im not using any other CMS since LDU 603. soo im not familiar with this joomla or any other CMS. and im pretty sure i saw at least an article about this migration from joomla to sed/cot. so since the search plugin sucks i was hoping some one you guyz might have noticed it too and maybe know where it is.

You should ask Kilandor. I don't think he has done Joomla migrations in particular, but has some experience with phpBB and probably a few systems more.
