So, I just installed cotonti to my cpanal at redwes.co.cc. There's a problem. It's just a blank page. I've followed all the instructions in the INSTALL txt. It's not a dns issue ether, because the dns for redwes.co.cc worked 5 sec.s after I set it up. It's just a cotonti issue. Firefox isn't real helpful for errors, but IE shows this:
The website cannot display the page HTTP 500 Most likely causes: The website is under maintenance. The website has a programming error. What you can try: Retype the address. Go back to the previous page. More information This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying. |

Do you have the right requirements?
System Requirements Webserver (we tested on Apache and Nginx). MySQL >= 4.1 PHP >= 5.1 PHP extensions: gd, mbstring, mysql, pcre, session ... can we help you ...

Did you install the skin files correctly? I doubt since the skin folders miss all tpl files.

reinstall a fresh cot version on your server and do not install any plugins.

@pieter: Yes, I do.
MySQL version 5.0.87-community-log Apache version 2.2.14 PHP version 5.2.11 @foxhound: They show up in the c-panal. ...and I set it to 777 permission. @Kort: I would but...their support sucks. The needed link leads to an invalid url. They have forums through, but the admins just tell you to go to the support. @urlkiller: I will try that and...(see Kort comment). @all: I'll try installing again and see what happens. If only that server error that IE gives was more specific.  EDIT: I've deleted it all. my host, c-panal, and dns all seem to be fine, which is good. It's just cotonti that's being a pain in the butt. Seditio wasn't like this. ...but I used a different host back then too. |

I haven't yet retried. My free host supports it through...
