It's a bad idea, to show only the post, which id is used in url. What is the logic of this?

First of all it's meant to be show the post only. It is more clean, and big forum scripts uses these.
Second, sometimes people refer these posts. When this happen, user wants to see the post only, not the whole topic. So this makes it faster. |

The way the core works should not be changed. If you want to add a new feature to do this thats fine, but don't change the current functionality.
In the end forums will be a plugin/module style thing anyways. |

No you misunderstand i'm saying don't change the way links currently work in forums. But if you wanted you can create some new kind of link that functions how your talking about, and propose it how it would integrate and work.
I know what your talking about though kinda, some other forum systems tend to use that in with searching. |
