help pls, i dont know how to make subcategory for pages like NEWS/SECURITY, is there anyone can help me? i need instructions :-s and also the thumbnail in pages, like in DOWNLOADS/SKINS

For subcategories you need to make subpaths.
If NEWS is eg path 3 a subcategory should be eg 3.01, 3.02, .. a sub-sub category under 3.01 is 3.01.01, 3.01.02, ... How this is clear for you. Example of my site.  9 ->9.01 ->9.03 ->9.05 ----->9.05.01 ----->9.05.02 ... can we help you ...

thanks sir, but how about the thumbnail or icon on pages? just like in DOWNLOAD/SKIN theres a preview of a skin in the list?

You have to use a extra_field for it.
Here you fill in the path to the picture, and this you can use in your TPL. ... can we help you ...

If you want another index page, you need to change index.tpl
If you need a custom header and footer for the index. Create a header.home.tpl and footer.home.tpl. More info click here If you need a custom page for a specific category. You can find info here ... can we help you ...

System pages do not get into any lists (although administrators can view "system" list), and use a different template (page.system.tpl). I've made a "system" category with code"system" but it shows a category "system" in the header of the page...

What do you mean?
A link to the site / problem would be nice. You have to create a custom skin-file for it. page.system.tpl eg you can copy the page.tpl to page.system.tpl and delete the things you don't want. ... can we help you ...

hm i think he means that he made a "system" category in the page categories.And when he's in this category he sees the LIST_ROW_TITLE.
