do you want to get rid of the textboxer all together, or just when they are using their PSP to view your website? If you want to get rid of it completely, i believe disabling the 'markitup' plugin will do the trick. (yoursite.com/admin.php?m=plug&a=details&pl=markitup)
as for detecting search engine bots it will take a little php work.. i would advise giving it a try yourself first to get a little knowledge with modifying cotonti yourself, and if you need help then ask specific questions (its all a learning process).
