IF-logic is where Cotonti really shines. Conditions in templates remove plugin requirements and overall complexity in around 90% cases. I do not understand how commercial and free websites differ in xTemplate usage, but with Cotonti I handle most tasks using it leaving very few things to plugins. Normally you should avoid plugins as much as you can, and this is only possible with xTemplate. So if you do simple stuff or prefer plugins, it doesn't mean anything.
