In my host control panel, point the domain to the folder somewhere in the root. 3. Write an email to my host provider to add my doman name to their dns records. Maybe you didn't do the third step? Adding domain should be widely described in your provider's help center. Write to them, tell your host name and that you pointed your domain name to their DNS and that you ask for adding your domain to their domain records. But if you have both a domain and a host at the same provider, you should be able to do it by yourself... but again, it depends on your provider and whether they added such a functionality.
