I say:
- Add PAGE_BREADCRUMBS
- Add config option to switch PAGE_TITLE between showing breadcrumbs (default) or shorttitle

This will ensure compatibility with existing templates and make everybody happy. But then again we don't want to bloat the core with unneccesary configuration options, so simply renaming TITLE to BREADCRUMBS and SHORTTITLE to TITLE would be a better idea. We could keep SHORTTITLE for backwards compatibility.
