As for the current version though it does function properly when installed; however, it's quite bare-bones (basically just a friends system with a "user wall" - comments). As for installing the plugin it's pretty simple. Just unpack the plugin, and update the TPL files.

You will have to modify the users.details.tpl file and include the necessary tags to add the Cot Social features.
I think Dylon included a demo version, so you could try moving those files into your theme folder to get started.
See which tags are being used and what they do.

I was thinking that (down the road) a users dashboard could be brought back which shouldn't be any issue but with an addition of using the friends function to display updates by other friends (common) with the added twist of displaying friends recent forum posts, much like how recent posts are displayed with the plugin for profiles... Just a sorted recent posts, perhaps limited to x_num posts per friend ... I guess an activity feed but more focused on the forums themselves.   • The accept/decline friend request link is now compatible with bbcode parser
  • Updated line 67, which gave errors if you weren't using the table prefix cot_
  • It now displays a message when you send a friend request, informing the user that a request has been sent.

I've managed to get around this by changing line 67 in cotsocial.users.details.php to:
$pmsql = $db->insert($db_pm, $pm);

Now it does send a PM to the user with the request, but it doesn't show a message that the request has been send.
Also it sends a PM with HTML in it:

This doesn't work on a website that works with BBcode.

a box for the amount of posts (50, 100, 200, etc), a box for hwat kind of post (forum, comments, etc) and a box for the link to the image

and of-course a add line button for the next trophy.

Maybe it's an idea for a seperate extended userwall plugin. In the old days there was something like that, and I think it should return.

A page where the user finds all the latest additions to the site since his/her last visit. Dyllon's social feed, last news, latest comments, last @username feed, etc.
