With Siena, all you need to do is replace the files with the new ones and visit yoursite.com/install.php. The installer will automatically determine the old database version and run all the scripts sequentially so the database is updated to the latest version. With install.php it doesn't matter if there's multiple versions in between yours and the latest.

When replacing files, take care not to remove your templates, datas and other custom stuff. If you just copy+paste+replace you'll be fine.
