I have a very small (15 or so active posters) LDU site (never updated to sedito) However we always have waves of attacks from people who read how to do an old LDU attack and tried it on our patched system so fail. However since my host also have more sensitive information on it on other sites is there any security issues regarding cotonti? thanks, John

As far as I know.. Cotonti is completely safe, and I urge you to upgrade! If the reasons aren't obvious.. Try messing around with a clean install and you will see how much your missing out. And our community is always willing to help out if you have problems converting.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

With regards to the safety of other websites on your shared host, that should be mainly the concern of your host, not you. I'm not saying you shouldn't make sure your site is safe, but it isn't your responsibility if anything happens to other sites (unless such a thing is in your contract with them). Now that I think of it, the fact that you know of a security issue could have them argue that you're negligent. Anyway, just update your site and you'll be fine. You don't even have to migrate to Cotonti if you really don't want to, but at least update to a newer version of LDU or Seditio.

It's not other sites on my host I'm worried about it's other sites that I run from my package ;-)

I'm going to upgrade. Just finding time like always huh?

For me LDU802 + patch seems to be secure enough....

But you are right it might reduce the attempts if they don't search for my site since its not LDU.
