Disable comments on exact pages? Or categories?
May the Source be with you!

there's a plugin.. it's called optional page info.. http://neocrome.net/page.php?id=2322

but i think this should be implemented in core..

I don't think there needs to be options to disable every single little thing for pages. The tags can be simply removed (I know date causes a prob) But a simple fix could be made for that.

i also don't think every single thing should be removed, but things like disabling comments or ratings is something we should have in core..

why do we need to edit our tpl's all the time?
especially if we want to use it on just few pages?

custom tpl you say? what if pages aren't in the same category? lot's of work for a small core adition:)

Well, usually you disable comments on a page that is in specific category like "Announcements" or "No Comments".
May the Source be with you!

TPL would have to be edited regardless. If add disable feature, then it would be logical to have BLOCKS to be parsed, only if enabled. Which still requires you to edit your TPL. :)
