Thanks to Kort, I became aware of the following:
Comment spamming article We should make something to prevent this always.. It will keep our sites clean from those ppl e.g. When saving the comments, then make every url a link with a rel="nofollow" tag this should be simple to make with regular expressions in the submit part  ==- I say: Keep it EZ -==

Basically, its up to the blogger to decide whether to use nofollow or not. Nofollow is good for unmoderated sites. If you keep an eye on your comments you should motivate your visitors by letting them post direct links to their sites: links to similar sites are not that bad after all. So hardcoding this is no good, there should always be an option.

I agree this should be configurable, So maybe, if I find the time, I will make a plugin for this.... (low in priority) Then a siteadmin can decide what to allow or not  I don't think this comment spamming is happening within the cotonti site (I took a quick look) but if you run a blog with comments open for non users, or a large site with comments, then this could be usefull. Still it is good to have information about this, so we know what it is.. ==- I say: Keep it EZ -==
