In fact, we made this plugin last year and used jq tools gallery. In March we switched to the Ad-Gallery due to its simplicity & extra feats, and bundled the plugin with quite a few sites. myGallery is a proven and ready-to-use product that requires no extra work. It features both POTW and pagination, as well as folder & image sorting, user-friendly column settings and smart image selection for the POTW.
Right now however, we're not quite happy with the Ad-Gallery, so I'll be looking for different scripts to couple the plug with so that the user would have a choice.
