If the file isn't saved as UTF-8 but contains special letters, X-Template cuts the file a bit ;). In case of all files saved as UTF-8, look for BOM mark in lang files and templates, it should be removed everywhere. It really can mess with the looks of a site. I cannot check your tpls, "requested url not found". Probably because of redirections.
