Do you mean a watermark, or a black border with text?

Watermark might be caused if you have an old gallery/import script installed, I remember one plugin having that functionality.
If you're referring to a black border around/under the image with text in it, you may have to check settings in admin/config/pfs (border size/text size). That's no copyright though.
