new forum posts since last visit

Members	I've had a request from a user who's due to go away for a couple of weeks to have a link on the forum or front page to show a list of all new forum posts since they last logged in. I know we have the frontpage plugin, but i dont want to extend this to more than 8 threads. Is this possible or does it currently exist? Im using Genoa 0.6.17 thanks
