I looked at the code, generally it looks OK but it needs some cleanup and changes in order to make it a more generic plugin. Right now it's clear that it was made purely for bbm.li (which works pretty good btw). I think it would be cool to have integration with Cotonti core functionality. Actually I don't think having super-short urls is the most important thing here, being able to track incoming/outgoing visitors is much more interesting. You can use it to track clicks on specific links for example.
