Just did another test, on a fresh 004 beta install, on another www.......nl domain of me.
At first all seems to load properly, forums are recoded etc in the url.

As soon as i start to change stuff on the type of recode/rewrite (1234) i jump back to my previous problem.
Time-outs.

Going to make a call to my host next thing in the morning with some questions about how .htaccess is triggerd and updated or read, have some thoughts about that but want to verify those, think stuff is reacting way to slow and with multiple edits you get no fun while testing ............

Also thought it took long to read a .htaccess on this domain where wasn't 1 on, and start to see the4 rewrite, first thought it didn't load.
So if the refresh is slow, there trouble might start while refreshing a page, just guessing since i haven't got much experience on this stuff.

if note 1 is correct and the excisting .htacces is refreshing/loading slow, best option might be removing old htaccess and a few hourz after add the new.
