is there a known issue with using MarkItUp! and IE8. i've got 0.9.10 installed in 2 different hosts/databases and when using the MarkItUp! editor rather than CKEditor it doesnt work correctly. all the bars/icons at the top of the edit box are unstyled and are just a list of the alt names... I'm using MarkItUp because i prefer using bbcodes rather than html parsing. thanks  |

According to markItUp! homepage there were some problems with IE in previous versions of the editor. Does it work for you from on their site? Does markItUp work fine on your site in other browsers? May the Source be with you!

it works fine in FF/Chrome and IE9. are we upgrading Markitup with newer versions of Siena, or are you focussing more on CKEditor? |

markItUp is up2date. But they might abandon IE8 support in favor of IE9. Have you checked the demo on their site using IE8? May the Source be with you!

Hi TM. I've just checked the bbcode example on the markitup site : http://markitup.jaysalvat.com/examples/bbcode/ and it works fine in IE8 so it appears to be the way markitup is being implemented in cotonti Siena 0.9.10 Added 1 week later: it appears the style.css isnt loading correctly in the Cot implementation (i.e. not at all) under IE8. I've made sure this wasnt a side-effect of the Nemesis theme, and it does do this under the Symisun theme as well. I'm not able to test right now as i'm at work, but i'll try hardcoding the markitup css into the theme.rc file to see if forcing the css to load helps. |

#34861 Twiebie: I'm not quite sure what going on with my installation then...i did 'view source' in IE8 on your site and my own and for some reason the markitup plugin links dont exist in the source on my site.....weird! |

yes, even on brand new installations which i've tried on 2 separate hosts now (godaddy and 1&1). I can see the calls in the footer as well but most other sites I can see the calls in the header area...could this be the problem? |

Found the bug. Replace your plugins/markitup/markitup.editor.php with this one to fix it.
