Btw, as of today (25.10.09) the Dutch, Italian, Polish & Ukrainian language packs are still 0.0.3/0.0.4. The others are less outdated. None is 0.6.4 :O Siena is coming soon to be followed by Renaissance, so we guys gotta be prepared...

Is there a EASY way to see the changes between 2 versions?
Because if you have to look at ALL files from zero, it is every time a hell of a job.

If we have a list with changes from version X to Y it is easy to adapt.
- Additions
- Strings deleted
- Changes

oops! I don't think I'll be able to recover all this. But even so it would be a huge list. I tried to make records here but seemed like this was only for myself. Anyways, your job is twice as easy as mine: follow the white rab English localization. As I said before, it's more about deleting than adding. What about the translation assistance plugin? Is it of any help?

I am set and ready to go but ... there's a but. I noticed the language files are a bit messy. The lines have no numerical correspondences between Cotonti and Siena. It is like we translators have to redo everything new while if we kept the same numerical correspondences in lines and marked new lines for the new versions, updating localizations would be a breeze.

Yes, this is a big problem.

Look at this project by Lombi...

Once again: this is no big problem if you update your localization frequently. If you do it every 6 months, yes, you're lost.

Which is where this proposal comes in and fixes everything, allows people to translate faster, easier and allows the cotonti project to have more localizations.

Less tedious work for translators = more translations.

This is a serious problem also from a minor update to another one. For this reason I think Lombi solution would be the best.

In the new files there is a indication for the new entries.
// New in XXXX

You can search for this.
Maybe nice to indicate in the new version also the one's that are deleted bij marking them as comment.

//lkdfjkjgkfdhgkd=fjghdkfghdkfg Deleted in version XXXX

In the new version you can delete the marked lines from the version before the previous
e.g
In version 0.6.5: mark the deleted lines of 0.6.4 and delete the lines of the marked for deleting of 0.6.3
... can we help you ...
